We are delighted to share the beginning of a very We are delighted to share the beginning of a very special partnership.

@piperscornersch is officially twinning with Rongomo Primary School through Lives In Focus.

This new connection is being led by the Year 10 girls at Piper’s Corner, who have chosen to support Rongomo by raising funds for something that makes an immediate and lasting difference for students: school desks and meals.

For many children, a desk means the simple dignity of having a place to learn, write and focus in the classroom. A meal means the energy to take part fully in the school day.

Through this twinning programme, students at Piper’s Corner will not only be raising funds, they will also be learning about the lives, education and opportunities of children in another part of the world.

It is a meaningful way to build understanding, compassion and global connection while directly supporting the needs of a partner school.

We are incredibly proud to see these young women taking the lead and using their voices and ideas to create real impact.

If you would like to support this initiative, every contribution helps provide desks, meals and opportunities for students at Rongomo Primary School.

Together, small actions can create lasting change.

They will not remember the score. But they will They will not remember the score. But they will remember this feeling.

This was the very first time many of these children in Burundi had ever held a tennis racket.

The first serve. The first rally. The first time someone said, “You can do this.”

Sport is not just about games. It builds confidence. It builds teamwork. It builds belief.

Through Lives In Focus, we introduce children in Tanzania, Kenya and Burundi to opportunities they would never otherwise experience. From tennis and football to art workshops and creative programmes.

Sometimes the smallest moments become the biggest memories.

If you would like to help us continue creating moments like this, we would love your support.

Today we’re looking back at a very special momen Today we’re looking back at a very special moment in the Lives In Focus journey.

This was the day we delivered our first shipment of school desks to Himo Pofo Primary School in Tanzania.

When we first visited the school, the head teacher explained that many children were sitting on the floor to learn. During the rainy season the classroom floors often became wet and muddy, making lessons even more difficult.

Desks were not a luxury. They were essential.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, and the work of a talented local carpenter who built every desk by hand, we were able to change that.

This project was led on the ground by our incredible Country Manager, Denis Minja. Denis has been part of Lives In Focus from the very beginning, and his commitment to the children and communities we work with makes projects like this possible.

Each desk seats three children and costs £35. Even today, many schools we support still need more desks so that every child has a proper place to sit, learn and concentrate.
Looking back at this moment reminds us how powerful simple support can be. A desk may seem small, but it can transform a classroom for years to come.

If you would like to help us continue this work across our schools in Tanzania, Kenya and Burundi, we would love your support. You can donate through the link in our bio, or simply help us by sharing our work.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Lives In Focus over the years. This is only the beginning.

Lunchtime in Burundi. Participants and staff at Lunchtime in Burundi.

Participants and staff at our pottery workshop enjoyed a hearty meal. Many of the children we serve struggle with food insecurity, which is why we prioritize providing a hot meal with every activity.

Our Country Managers' expertise has taught us that it's the small touches, like safe transportation and wholesome meals, that contribute to a successful experience.

Real community impact. Recently in Burundi, our m Real community impact.

Recently in Burundi, our manager Yves partnered with a local women’s ceramics studio to host a hands on pottery workshop for children.

Each child chose their own design. They were guided and supported as they shaped and moulded the clay. They created something that was entirely theirs and at the end of the day, they took their finished pieces home with pride.

The look on their faces was pure happiness.

But this project did something more. By working alongside a local women led ceramics business, we were also investing directly into the Burundi community. Supporting the studio meant supporting women, livelihoods and local enterprise.

Two layers of impact. One day of creativity.

As always, the children were provided with breakfast and lunch so they were fuelled and ready to create.
